The Indian healthcare sector is growing faster due to its strengthening coverage, services, and increasing expenditure. The constant growth of the healthcare industry needs government interventions and initiatives to have better health indices and sustainable development. To this end, the government has started initiatives to support the health sector. The questions related to government initiatives and schemes related to healthcare are also asked by UPSC almost every year in Prelims or Main Examination. These questions could be based on any of the aspects of any initiative.
