Srushti Jayant Deshmukh: A Beacon of Inspiration

In the vibrant city of Bhopal, nestled amidst the bustling streets of Kasturba Nagar, lived a young girl whose spirit burned with the desire to make a difference. Srushti Deshmukh, born into a loving family on March 28, 1995, was a shining example of perseverance and dedication from an early age.

Raised by her parents, Jayanta and Sunita Deshmukh, who instilled in her the values of hard work and compassion, Srushti embarked on her academic journey with zeal. She attended Carmel Convent School, where her brilliance shone through, earning her an impressive 8 CGPA in the class X board exam and a remarkable 93.4 percent in her Class XII board exam.

Driven by her thirst for knowledge and a relentless pursuit of excellence, Srushti pursued her passion for chemical engineering at Laxmi Narayan College of Technology, affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi Technological University RGPV, Bhopal. Despite her academic commitments, she actively participated in extracurricular activities, showcasing her versatility and leadership skills.

However, amidst her academic pursuits, Srushti harbored a secret ambition - to serve her country as a civil servant. Her journey towards this noble goal began while she was still in college, as she diligently prepared for the UPSC Civil Services Examination alongside her engineering studies.

Srushti's dedication bore fruit in 2018 when she bravely stepped into the arena of the UPSC examination. Choosing sociology as her subject, she embarked on a journey marked by perseverance, determination, and unwavering resolve. Despite facing challenges along the way, Srushti emerged victorious, securing the 5th position overall and becoming the 1st in the women's category at the tender age of 23.

Her exceptional performance in the UPSC examination not only garnered widespread acclaim but also served as a source of inspiration for countless aspirants across the nation. With a total score of 1068 marks, including outstanding performances in subjects like the Essay paper and Optional-1 (Sociology), Srushti's achievement underscored her remarkable intellect and dedication to excellence.

What set Srushti apart was not just her academic prowess but also her exceptional choice of subject. Despite holding a degree in chemical engineering, she fearlessly pursued sociology, demonstrating her willingness to step out of her comfort zone in pursuit of her dreams.
