INTRODUCTION
India is predominantly an agrarian economy and Indian villages are at the centre of all our planning. Rural-Non-Farm-Sector (RNFS) is now gaining attention due to distress in the traditional agricultural sector.
RNFS includes all economic activities viz., household and non-household manufacturing, handicrafts, processing, repairs, construction, mining and quarrying, transport, community and personal services etc. in rural areas.
