- The Delhi government will implement the health insurance scheme Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the state.
- Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana(PM-JAY) is a pioneer programme initiated by Prime Minister Modi to ensure that the lower section of the society, the poor and vulnerable population get proper health cover.
- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) provides an insurance cover up to Rs 5 lakh per family, other than that it also includes per year for secondary and tertiary hospitalization
- All pre-existing conditions are covered from day 1 of implementation of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in respective States/UTs.
