  • Published
    7th Oct, 2022

Considering the high disease burden in India and lack of inclusive healthcare system, this becomes quite a difficult task for India to fulfill its commitment towards SDG 3 to   'Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages'. In order to bring more inclusivity in the healthcare system, it becomes essential to revive the traditional methods of healthcare. To this end, a dedicated Ministry of AYUSH has been formed which has started several initiatives to reinvigorate traditional ways of medicine.

The present document 'Promotion of Traditional Medicines' compiles the initiatives of the Ministry of AYUSH in a most comprehensive manner. Each and every initiative has been discussed thoroughly that will help aspirants to solve Prelims questions as well as in writing Mains answers.
