Good Practice - Food security and public distribution

Public Distribution System substantially contributed to the containment of the rise in food grain prices and ensured access to food for urban consumers. The government's target is to facilitate food grain availability to every consumer. To this end local, state, and central government has initiated programs to ensure the last mile availability.
