The Irony about GS Paper IV of Ethics in the UPSC Main Examination is that it is considered to be the easiest of all the GS papers, yet the majority of the aspirants find it most difficult when it comes to attempting and writing it. Most aspirants face a very common issue of lack of vocabulary and keywords when it comes to writing answers. In addition to that, a lack of understanding of ethical issues hinders them from framing good answers. The analysis of previous year question papers reflects that while framing questions on ethics, It has been observed that aspirants are unable to understand the ethics behind these contemporary topics and they tend to lose marks. One reason behind this is the lack of availability of comprehensive material on ethics contemporary issues.
