Employment Generation through MSMEs:-
  • The MSME are credited with generating the highest rates of employment growth and account for a major share of industrial production and exports.
  • The Indian MSME sector provides maximum opportunities for both self-employment and wage-employment and contributes in building an inclusive and sustainable society through creation of non-farm livelihood at low cost, balances regional development, gender and social balance, etc.
  • SSI sector in India creates largest employment opportunities for the Indian populace, next only to Agriculture. It has been estimated that 1 lakh rupees of investment in fixed assets in the small-scale sector generates employment for four persons.

             

IT initiatives of Ministry of MSME:

  • MY MSME: Web based application module to submit and track online applications under various schemes of the Ministry.
  • Udyog Aadhar Memorandum: Mobile friendly application for registration of MSMEs on self-certification basis.
  • MSME Samadhan: Empowers MSMEs to resolve the issues of delayed payments.
  • MSME Sambandh: Disseminates information on procurements by CPEs/ Government Departments.s
