MSMEs

The MSMEs have always been the backbone of Indian Economy. They have played a great role in ensuring the socialistic goals like income equality, employment generation, poverty eradication and balanced regional development.

Manufacturing Sector:

Enterprises engaged in the manufacture or production, processing or preservation of goods are specified as-

  • A micro enterprise is an enterprise where investment in plant and machinery does not exceed Rs.25lakh;
  • A small enterprise is an enterprise where the investment in plant and machinery is more than Rs.25lakh but does not exceed Rs. 5crore.
  • A medium enterprise is an enterprise where the investment in plant and machinery is more than Rs. 5crore but does not exceed Rs. 10crore.
