QS World University Rankings 2024
Context:
Recently, the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (WUR) 2024 for Global MBA and Business Master’s has been released.
Key points of the Ranking:
- About:
- QS also ranks 28 specialised business master’s, including 17 master’s in management, five master’s in finance, three master’s in business analytics, two master’s in marketing and one master’s in supply chain management.
- Global rankings:
- The Stanford GSB’s MBA has topped the list while The Wharton School and the Harvard Business School have been placed in the second and third positions.
- As many as 10 Indian MBA colleges are among the top 250 institutes in Asia.
- IIM Bangalore is placed 39th globally and fourth highest in Asia, followed by IIM Calcutta in 46th, ranking seventh in Asia.

- Indian Colleges and positions:

- IIM Bangalore has improved its rank from 50th in 2023 rankings to 48th in 2024.

- The IIM Bangalore is India’s best Master in Management. It ranks 31st globally due to its exceptional alumni outcomes, in which it ranks 10th.
- IIM Calcutta is ranked for India’s best master in business analytics in the top 100. It comes in the 61-70 bands for this programme.
- IIM Udaipur ranks 51+ for its master in supply chain management programme.
