To fulfill its constitutional obligation of protecting minority communities in India, the Indian government has taken several initiatives for minority communities to support the preservation of their culture and heritage as well as to give them economic and financial protection. The schemes have also been asked by UPSC in the Civil Services Examination.
Good Practice on ‘Initiatives to support Minorities’ released by GS SCORE compiles such initiatives taken by the Indian government. The schemes will help aspirants to understand the commitment shown by the government towards fulfilling its obligation and to give equal opportunity to everyone irrespective of their religion and caste. It will prove to be helpful for both UPSC Prelims and Mains Examination.
