U.S. President’s administration announced it was restoring relations with the Palestinians and renewing aid to Palestinian refugees.

The Russian lower house of Parliament, the Duma, ratified a new START nuclear treaty with the US. 

India has expressed serious concern over the security situation in the Sahel and Lake Chad region in West Africa, saying that terrorism, drug trafficking and organized crime have continued unabated in the area.

Noting that Pakistan's measures against money laundering and terror financing "is not yet sufficient to justify a re-rating", a regional affiliate of the Financial Action Task Force retained the country on its ''Enhanced Follow-up'' list.
